I thrusted my arm into the air and overlaped the large, cold tower by using my outstretched hand. I glared at the building and vigorously squeezed my hand into a fist. Using my imagination, I pretended to destroy the structure.

A young girl shouted after me and caught me off guard. She ran up the steps to greet me in her usual manner. "What are you doing up here?" She asked and then slowly peered up at the godforsaken tower. "Hmph... I understand how you must feel after having the kingdom take your color gems from you and the rest of the town's people. But that's why we're doing what we're doing. Working together to put a stop to their nonesense!"

I curtly nodded with a smile. She's always being a go-getter. Suddenly the ground started to shake and the tower in front of us began to vibrate wildly. I tried to keep my balance but I ended up falling on my hands and knees. Everyone else surrounding us began to scream and panic. The out-going girl by my side tried to crawl over to the tower's steps. She looked at it with great intensity and then gaped in awe for whatever reason. "L-Look up there, on the roof!"

Struggling to withstand the tremors I managed to glance up at the building's tip. I too gaped in awe after what I saw. A boy in white and blue stood on the roof, his arms extended. It was not the boy that surprised me and my friend, but what he was doing. As he widened his arms, the color around his feet began to fade to gray. Soon the building began to turn gray till I made a horrifying discovery. The colors were draining from the world around him!

As fast as lightening I grabbed onto the young girl's hand and staggered down the steps. The ground continued to shake so it was very difficult to sprint. The person clamped onto my hand started to shout over the high pitched yells of the town. "Color is disappearing quickly!"

I dared to look back and saw that the wave of grayscale was only ten feet away. Everything behind us, including people, were turning bland and retro. I gasped in absolute terror and dashed even faster through town. I finally made it to the pathway which led to my shack-like home. I crookedly grin as my house came into view. The young lady being dragged by me wailed in excitement. "We're going to make-"

The girl was cut off by a violent jerk. I tripped over a stone burried in the ground and fell, taking my friend with me. We both recovered and sat up only to realize that the grayness was nearing ever so closer. I looked at the girl with fear and she did the same. I squinted my eyes as hard as I could as the gloom washed over us. All I could think about at the moment was the kingdom. Somehow, they did all of this...
This little fic is from a scene in Magic Pengel: The Quest for Color. I do admit though that I've changed it up a bit for it to seem more dramatic and detailed. The girl is Zoe, but only the people who play the game would know that.

Very well written. I can't say I've seen a fic written for this game before.
Great job. ^_^
